Why is Saban the only one that's mentioned as "probably going to the Pros"? I'll tell you. Because he is the best of the bunch. Period.
Wasn't Jim Donnan a coach in the SEC, for Georgia at one point? He knows better than that but I guess he's pissed cause we beat JawJaw twice.
Donnan is just jealous because he never could get Gawga over the hump like Saban has. He knows how hard it is to go better than 8-3 in the SEC and thats why he is writing about college football instead of coaching it. No way a coach of a team highly ranked in preseason playing in the P(u$$y)AC 10 that goes 11-1 should get coach of the year over a 12-1 SEC coach with an SEC championship and Donnan knows it. Just sour grapes.
It is most likly as Twisted Tiger said he is Jealous.He never got over being fired at Georgia & has it in for the SEC.As for the Big 12 he coached at Okla & did not even get a look when they hired Bob Stoops.He knows the two best coaches in the country are playing in the Suger & he can be part of that. Glad to see Jeff Bowers of USM in the mix. That team has had so many bad things happen off the field to it in the last couple of years (Bowers daughter died tragically, Star running back phenom loses kidneys and never plays again), it's great to see my Alma Mater kicking ass again. You must consider the source. If you don't make it to the NC bowl game, you create your own game. If your coach is not voted the coach of the year, you simply get an idiot from the media to name him as coach of the year. It's like an election in Florida. If you don't like the outcome, keep counting and disqualifing your opponents votes until you win.
