Surprise -- Rahim Alem, looks like the next star defensive lineman at LSU. He's light and quick unlike his big, fat colleagues on defense. I think most have gotten entirely too heavy and slow for defensive linemen in the SEC.

Disappointment -- TIE between Ricky Jean-Francois who simply disappeared and needs a fire lit under him and Al Wood who has never appeared. Big Al always was a prototype offensive lineman where he could probably excel, but he insists on playing defense where he'll never start. Time for coach to just move him for his own good and the good of the team..

He's not prototypical for our defense, but he'll do well in a 3-4 for an NFL team.

I'd like to add Jordan Jefferson to my surprising list. Wow, just wow. Fantastic game tonight. About time we have some homegrown talent leading the offense.
