It is "the State coffee".

Expressos, capaccino (sp) etc. are so blue blood, imo. Maybe I'm just too back woods.

I can walk outside in the morning to get my newspaper. If I smell hydrocarbons from Exxon, the wind is coming from the north; If I smell car exhaust, the wind is coming from the east; If I smell bacon frying at Georges, the wind is coming from the south; . . . and if I smell coffee beans roasting at the Community Coffee plant in Port Allen, then the wind is coming from the west.

i buy it in bulk. pretty cheap at less than $7/lb for stuff thats better than anything you can get in a supermarket (ok, except illy, but that stuff in super expensive.).

at work i use community for drip.

anyone else add ice to their old morning coffee in the afternoon?

im with you with the plain black, but you are missing out if you dont have espresso. the pressure gets out a lot of the oils in the bean that you miss out on with drip. so much more flavor---and actually less caffeine, so you can have more than one little cup.

"exotic expensive beans" arent necessarily so expensive as i posted above--about $7/lb. Community often goes for that.

Afraid I go the cheap route, Community's difficult to find over here (thats what I'd prefer), but , I buy the French roast from Wally world...it ain't bad.
