Agreed, but those are still some pretty sh!tty stats. (I had no idea they were that bad) If he had those numbers today, he probably wouldn't even be on a roster. His accomplishments are more of a tribute to a) timing b) the intangibles he possessed (personaility, leadership etc.) and c) the team he had around him.
Mike Vick's is 76.4. But the QB rating says nothing about running the ball for 60 some odd yards a game. If it incorporated that figure somehow, his rating would be significantly higher.

He wasn't suggesting that Brooks is a better quarterback than Elway, he was just making an observation that since it seemed like I thought that the QB passer rating is how one would determine how good a qb was, he threw out that comparison to make what i said look ridiculous. To clear this up again, I don't think that the QB rating is how one should determine the greatness of a player, it should be used in conjunction with leadership abilities of a player, and how well he was able to get his team(s) to perform.
