i meant falter so that he would be replaced by a superior talent, not falter so he would lose. thanks for calling me a dbag, friend. if lee plays well he will probably not be replaced by mettenberger, which i think would be a long term positive.
remember LSU only had 6 passing TD last year. i know this is partially due to the system, and good running backs, but still. neither jedffferson nor lee has ever been outstanding. and i am also aware that you dont have to be outstanding if you play on the proper team. but perhaps mettenberger actually is outstanding.
This is very true. Lets think about our 11 wins last year. Wins are a team effort, and I think that aside from the Ole Miss game, Our defense was 70% of why we won those games. Our defense saved JJ's a$$ plenty last year, Tenn & Florida - We would have lost if not for Lee (LSU - 9-4) But I have to atleast give JJ credit for Ole Miss, Bama, & A&M - as well Im just sayin.......
The BR Police are screwing this one up and severely damaging two reputations and athletic careers in the process. The BR Police are jumped the gun a bit in arresting JJ and JJ. There should be some recourse against the BR Police for both kids when they are cleared of this mess. And if the reports are true about Andrew Lowery and his buddies being escorted from the bar and then threatening to get a gun, he and his punks should be the ones behind bars. I hope Lowery and company find life around Tiger Land difficult going forward.
Get real. Mettenberger is going to be brought along slowly. No way will Les start a rookie on the road against a top-5 team. But he will be brought along on a faster pace and get plenty of PT, so everyone should be happy. Remember our last two national championships were won by fairly average senior quarterbacks. Lee is surrounded by talent and doesn't have to hit a lot of home runs by himself. Just keep slappin' out base hits, be consistent, and steady and run the offense.
In comparion of Alabama - 2009 Team & LSU - 2011 team Alabama:2009 McElroy 2500 yards 60% 17 tds & 4 ints Ingram 1650 yards 17 tds Richardson 750 yards 8 tds Julio Jones 43 rec 600 yards 4 tds There is NO question our defense is just as good if not better, So Can..... Lee Pass for 2500 yards at 60% and near 20 tds with only 5 or less ints? Can Ware, Ford, & Blue combine for 2500 yds & 25 touchdowns? Can Randle catch 50 balls for 600 yards and 5 td's? I think so.
