I have stated over and over and over that the curfew issue isn't a big deal. It's you that seem stuck on the curfew not me. The name of the QB or how good he is on the field changes absolutely nothing. Senior team leaders at any position just don't allow themselves to be in a position to be involved in things like this. If Joe Montana did the same thing I would be saying the same thing. Forget the curfew, Miles already has that problem corrected, you can bank on it. The curfew is not the issue, the bar brawl is. Guilty or not the players involved put LSU in a bad light and put their eligibility in jeopardy. Smart players just don't allow themselves to be put in those situations.

I would feel much better if you actually knew what you were talking about.

The curfew may not mean anything to you but it means a great deal to Les. I would not be surprised if he suspends them all for Oregon. Go back and listen to Les in that video. He is mad. Mad at the team. He is taking it as a discipline issue and a direct challenge to his authority.

I agree and if they had obeyed curfew none of this would have happened. However breaking curfew pales in comparison to possible felony charges.

So this is the first program Les has been associated with where players have broken curfew? And he never broke curfew playing under Bo?

There is a special club players who break curfew gain entry to. It's called the Breakfast Club. Ever hear of it?

Stone did confirm that witnesses told police the fight started when a man in a truck honked his horn to move a crowd out of his path in the parking lot at Shady’s.
Stone said he did not know whether members of the crowd dragged the man from his truck or if he got out willingly to confront the crowd, or how the three other men who were treated for injuries became involved in the fight.

I feel better if you didn't actually think you knew what you were talking about. Nobody knows what happened at this point.

And thus you shouldn't want this very same kid leading the team then.

You know, actually...this IS a good thread topic. Face it, it's pretty likely we're "Moving forward with Mett and Lee". Notice I left off the question mark added later. Not because I know how it's gonna shake out, but because it's just a discussion based on the things we DO currently know.

So, moving forward with Mett and Lee...how do you see it going? Who starts game one? How short/long is his leash? Assuming JJ is able to rejoin the fray, what happens then? Does the team crumble? Or does the team come together better for it in the long run?

I say Lee starts game one.

Depending on his play, his leash is short.

Depending on the timing of JJs return and where the team is at that point, he could be back on the field...or he could see mop up duty.

I say that if some LEADERSHIP from the PLAYERS steps up and takes ownership of the team, the team winds up better for it and the season is not lost.
