Sean Payton just gave his end of the year presser. Some notes I heard (while trying to get work done, so I wasn't fully engaged) Said he's mostly been watching Netflix and eating ice cream since the game, and any time he's thought about the game, he's clicked on a new show. Did not discuss what he and Goodell talked about on the phone the day after the game, just that it was "between him and me." Hasn't made Super Bowl plans, but sounds like he will be watching. Defending his play calling in the final series, saying 3 straight runs, with LA's 2 timeouts, would have left them with about 58 seconds, which he felt was too much time. Being aggressive and going for a TD was the right move, in his judgement. No thoughts on what rules might come out of the situation, but he's happy to have a spot on the rules committee when the discussion comes up.
Yeah...I'm gonna go with a big fat NO on that one. The Saints have one of the most knowledgeable fan bases in the entire NFL. It's why with such a small market we can have one of the best home field advantages in the league. Are you kidding me?
What do you offer in the form of proof to substantiate that claim? From what I've read on this forum suggests otherwise.
