pretty good 4 days at camp. Got a nice 9 point sat morning..... Tues morning got a fair 8 from the same tree... And this morning again same tree a 7. Public ground Gonna spend the rest of the season off and on in Alabama on some new ground a buddy has that borders a bunch of public land.
Dam that is amazing. Leaving tonight to head to a WMA for either sex Friday. Hoping to shoot a hog as much as a deer. Don't care about horns, they aren't good to eat. Going to after meat.
Terrible terrible. Not one hog or deer killed by any of the 7 in our hunting party. Locals are saying the end we hunted hit extremely hard by over killing while woods were flooded last year.
Brought my boy to some land in alabama for his first deer hunt. Let a big one get away but did get a little 6 point so he got to see one drop. Had a blast even if it is a buck I usually don't shoot.

They closed all hunting down in MS from whatever HWY to the west to try to stop that from happening to the delta deer. Closed it miles east of where the water finally stopped way further than any of the displaced critters went but of course there were plenty folks that rolled the dice on the some big ones...some got caught some didn't. Just about every warden in the state was redirected to the closed area though so it was def a big gamble.
I killed a skillet head a few weeks back so we good. That was a good move. In Louisiana they're facking retarded when it comes to shooting shit.
