Sweated my way to my stand Sat morning. Couple does came through around 10:30 eating water oak acorns so even with the heat at least saw some deer. Thermocell was working overtime and when I climbed down and got out it’s coverage the skeeters covered me. Got back to cabin and after doing a few things decided to go fishing instead and listen to the LSU Florida game which sucked but the fishing was good. Got 12 big slab crappie in fairly short time so just went back fishing again sun morning and got a limit of big fine ones. Not the big buck I was hoping for but they sure gonna eat fine. Nothing for scale but smallest fish is 14” biggest 18.75”.
