You would think Florida goes all in for Briles after watching the last 3 seasons of this Florida offense. Or Sumlin.

If Nick Saban doesn't go to Texas you can bet your ass Art Briles will be the next UT head coach.

Does that say Texas or SEC to you guys?

Was A&M simply a really good DC away from winning it all this year? Whoever they have now is a complete joke. You can't play defense any worse than this.

    Weigh in.

I think they are still stuck in that Big 12 mentality. As long as we score more points, we are alright. Do they even recruit defenders?

texas would never hire from the aggies or gumps from the plainsmen.

florida is the perfect fit. skill players. wide open offense. desperate team. can kill the racist crap that went on with strong and his white wife when he was snubbed for that reason.

    True.

SEC Coaches have been known to recruit their best athletes out of High School (regardless of position they played) and put them on DEFENSE. ATM has not quite made that transition yet...

Well he was at Houston in the Conference USA. He joined A&M as they were making their way to the SEC.

I agree, that appears to be his mentality. They were certain to be in a BCS bowl game in 2011 and their offense crapped the field and the defense could not support such a lackluster effort, losing 49-28 to Southern Miss to end the season. Cost Houston a huge chunk of change (several million) as they had their bags packed for the Sugar Bowl.

Can you imagine the exchange between the AD and Sumlin and he he headed out the door to A&M, having just cost the University millions of dollars?

What about Charlie Strong? Florida ties, done a good job at Louisville, knows the program, has recruiting relationships built in Florida.... etc etc
