My gameday has to begin at 7:30 for an 11:30 game. Kind of early for 100-proof bourbon. It throws me off my whole routine. The womenfolk want to make Mimosas or Bloody Marys and such. Geez!
Ok...as a fan (and I say it like this because fans can say this....), but until the next champion is crowned, we're still the National Champs. And here at LSU, we have a thing called tradition--which obviously, JP Sports don't get, and that's that we play our home games in Death Valley at night. Don't get me wrong, tv exposure is great--ESPECIALLY since I don't live in Louisiana any more  , but JP Sports is a such a cheep ticket.... :sob:  And yes, I'm talking like a spoiled brat! :thumb:
Yes. You are the nc. You have a crystal trophy. JP's trophy is green and all banks accept it. It comes in several different denominations. All schools fight for it. Their tradition walks where night games walk. When sec officials sign these agreements, we all are under the master's thumb. :dis:
This game was scheduled for JP before Miss State played Maine and LSU played Auburn. Nevertheless, it still wasn't shaping up as much of a marquee matchup then. The sheen was wearing off of the "first African American SEC coach" angle. Do any of you in the Houston area know if we are going to get the game here? I seriously doubt it - we usually don't. I usually go watch the LSU JP games at SRO. Unfortunately, I manage my son's baseball team, so I will have to leave before the game is over. And it may be a blowout, but I never, ever, leave an LSU game early - from the stadium or the TV, regardless of the score or which team is winning - unless I absolutely have to. Perhaps it is an ESPN Gameplan game? then, I could, at least, record it and watch the end later.
