LSU and Auburn are getting so damn incestuous with the switching around of coaches from each other's schools that we may have to stop hating Auburn so much.
Denial was just a dig. Im exposed to so many dillusional Bama fans its pathetic. Obviously you arent one. WM was not the DC for the Fish which is why I thought this story had plenty of merit. He was never called the defensive coordinator.
I have to believe that Muschamp didnt have that much say in the defense but he sure has the training and pedigree and now he gets the chance to step up. Beside Saban he also learned under someone who was considered one of the best defensive backs coaches in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's in Bill "Brother" Oliver. Oliver's defenses dismantled team after team.
WM was the head defensive assit. for the dolphins not DC. When Will was here he called the plays for Saban's defense. He has said this in many articles. I look for him to implement the same system at AU. I don't know how much he will miss NS's expierence coaching the secondary, but if ya'll ge the other pro guy then your prolly pretty good there also.
Oh man I ran for a stiff drink when I read that. Surely the #1 Auburn hater is not getting soft on us:dis: Just kidding, I wish that could come true.:thumb:
That's what I mean. I knew that Jimbo Coach Searels both had ties to Auburn. Muschamp must be a fantastic young coach with unlimited potential . . . that's why Nick Saban did nothing to keep him with the Miami Dolphins . . . Nick Saban has built a coaching career on getting rid of his best young coaches, and retaining only the laziest and most stupid subordinate coaches. That must be it.
Brian Van Gorder, UGA's DC, NCAA Defensive Coach of the year ...... UGA-to- Jax Jags-to-Ga Southern In addition to Fisher, Muschamp, and Searles, there is also LSU's assistant AD Sam Nader (he's been with the LSU program for 29 years) and QB's coach Dameyune Craig (former AU QB)
