It sure worked for Dale in Basketball. He hired Ron Abernathy to get Rudy Macklin and Rick Huckabay to get Howard Carter. Both were fine coaches who stayed long past their player and went on to become college head coaches. Of course he hired coach Duhe to get Lester Earl and Duhe got fired quickly after Earl caused LSU to get on probabtion.
Duhe was hired to get Tom Curry who never could get into LSU and ended up at Marshall, Huck's first year there.
So who was the coach that came with Earl? He got an adminstrative assistant job in the basketball program, I think. Perhaps I'm confusing the two.
Somehow this is reminiscent of the situition that "it often is not a good idea to hire both husband and wife in the same company".
I copied and pasted your critiques of my friend's e-mail and he found them very humerous. He said he hasn't worked a lick today with all the rumors about "who's next" floating around.
So, let me get this straight... Nutt came up with a clever new dance called the Arkansas Two Step... But didn't realize people could dance it to "Living on Tulsa Time"?
This is a sad situation. The entire thing could have been avoided if Nutt didn't have the backbone of a jellyfish.
What I find interesting is that Mustain is so dedicated to his high school coach. He seems to be following him around like a puppy. Let's say, hypothetically, he goes to the NFL. What, is the team that drafts him going to hire Malhzan as a coordinator too?
