Yeah Auburn sucks...they should just be glad they finished in the top 20. I mean, especially after how bad they represented the SEC the way they did...bunch of monkeys.
I think anybody who thinks Auburn would not have at the very least given SC a better game than OU did last night is on crack. some of these same people were just saying last week how weak the Pac 10 was, now they are ready to totally change about face on the basis of OU not showing up. Well guess what folks, LSU didn't show up for the Georgia game either. it happens. if Auburn brings their "A" game to the Orange bowl, Jason Campbell and the two backs they have playing the best they can. then it's a much closer game. OU did not play up to the level they normally play in the Orange bowl. yes SC has a really good team. The whole college FB fanbase got screwed last night because OU didn't bring it all down there. I'm not saying they would have won, what I am saying is that the love fest for SC will now escalate thanks to OU. I don't blame the players, it was momentum, bad luck, and possibly Stoops got outcoached. Plus SC probably played the best they have all year. Now the media will exhault SC that much higher based on the whipping they gave OU. rightfully so? I guess it could be argued either way. It's hard to win as many games as SC has won in ANY league. If you're honest with yourself, knowing how tough the SEC is to go through a season and not lose a game, I think you have to say if Auburn plays the best game they have, it would have been a MUCH closer game, if not Auburn winning it. the game should be played anyway, just from a play off stand point.
But I thought if I heard the announcers say "threepeat" one more time in the post-game I was gonna shoot the TV. I finally had to turn that BS off. Someone needs to explain to the media and Pete Carroll that you have to repeat before you threepeat. I don't remember SUC getting the crystal egg last year!
I think Auburn would have given OU a better game but I still don't think Auburn would have beaten them or come within 20 points if they had played the team that OU faced last night.
Hey Peabody...I saw you got a good chuckle out of Auburn's WIN over Virginia Tech. I was just wondering how funny you thought OU's dominant showing in the Orange Bowl was. :hihi: :hihi:
I might have to take a trip over to the Auburn board, are all your fans as sour as you? If so, it's what I completely visioned when I hoped you would get shut out of the Orange Bowl. You are making it easy Numa
Speaking of sour...but wasn't this entire forum lit up with "USC shouldn't share anything with us, we're the champions" stuff last year after the Sugar Bowl? And you're going to tell me that Auburn fans don't have a gripe after this mess this year?
