My first game was the quake game. Went on accident. It was my freshman year at Centenary and some guys from Hammond wanted me to go with them. Growing up in Dallas I didn't know much about TS and Saturday nights. Holy cow was I hooked. Been hooked ever since. My seats were in the endzone corner where the catch was made.
When the Tiger Band went to Miami for the Jan 1. 1971 Orange Bowl versus Nebraska, we met a huge number of fans of Big Red. I've NEVER had more fun interacting with the opposing fans. They were without a doubt the most cordial bunch of folks you could ever hope to meet. And that was before they won the game. It's been a long, long time but the Nebraska fans are one of my best memories of that bowl game experience. That, and marching in the Orange Bowl parade!ldskule:
That sums up Gainesville exactly. 50+ years of nothing and then a few decent seasons with that nut Spurrier made them all batty, exact opposite of the classy fan bases at Nebraska or Alabama.

I sat next to a Husker fan in section 408? was it you? I lived in Omaha for a few years and Husker games are fun but definately different. Diehard fans that will never turn their backs on the blackshirts
