How do you suppose he isn't a good leader? How many comeback wins did we have this year? ASU, Florida, Auburn, Bama? Who was the QB in all those games?
True. I guess you proved me wrong on the "no brains" opinion. My main point is that I don't believe Russell will improve his game. I hope he proves me wrong and becomes the greatest QB LSU has ever had, but again I don't see it. That is just my opinion. I didn't make this thread to argue, I just wanted to hear everyone else's opinion on it.
The most critical thing I can say about Russell is the lack of a good field of vision. Too many times he failed to see receivers who werre wide open. But as far as his ability to read defenses and make adjustments, I see no problem.
anyone remember the 2003 sugar bowl? mauck fumbles on the 3 yd line, then later throws a pick that sets up a TD for choklahoma?
YEAR CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT 2004 73 144 1053 50.7 7.31 42 9 4 13 127.19 2005 188 311 2443 60.5 7.86 50 15 9 21 136.56 I would call those stats significant improvement. Still don't see what your basing your opinion on.
Wrong. Florida took the lead 17-14 in the third i believe. Jamarcus lead us back for a touchdown and then the D took over. Here is the box score. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=252880099
True. Mauck single handedly kept that game from being an LSU blowout. Sorry, but I can't let you off the hook that easily. Do you just have a gut feeling or is there something you've seen that tells you he has reached his max potential, cause I gotta tell you; I'm seeing a guy that has barely scratched the surface of his potential.
