Since my husband is a UNT (not NTU, like the article calls them) alum, I follow the Mean Green with a little more than a mere passing interest. The running backs are good, but they don't put up the numbers against "better" competition (that's code for anyone outside of the Sunbelt Conference.) Now, don't get me wrong. I respect UNT more than the TCU's of the world who may go undefeated but don't play teams like Texas, Arkansas, OU, or LSU. UNT gets blown out by those sorts of opponents, but they really tear up their in-conference competition. We'll do well. And hopefully the "we start slow" problems were, in fact, a Saban problem. We'll see, but there are good teams that don't start slow. Perhaps the new staff will solve that problem for us.
Why on earth would Perriloux redshirt? He will leave after his 3rd year.. might as well get all of them on the field..
that's assuming he's good enough by then. he's not a refrigerator, he doesn't come with a guarantee. it's not his choice whether or not he redshirts anyway.
These are the exact comments many fans were making about Russell before he stepped foot on campus. Guess we didn't learn from that...
