In my mind it would be impossible to get my rocks off standing in the middle of a storm while watching someone's roof getting torn off. Maybe it's just me.

You have a husband??!! I thought that you were a MAN! Turns out that you are FEMALE! That is . . . unless of course . . . you are a man who . . .
    has a HUSBAND . . . in which case . . . that would mean . . .

    YOU ARE FROM AUSTIN, TEXAS!!!

(just kiddin' . . . I'm sure that you are beautiful, mon cherie.)

    ;)

I don't like hurricanes because my current military job involves me in providing military assistance to catastrophic natural events and terrorist attacks against the Homeland that occur from the Mississippi River to the East Coast. When stuff like that happens, I put in long hours filled with lots of stress.

I just hope like hell that this thing doesn't go in around Ft. Walton Beach/Pensacola. I am so freaking sick of having my in-laws (and wife's grandparents) evacuate to my house and then sit around staring at Jim for days on end beotching about the lousy coverage... And to think, I just got rid of that bunch last weekend when they came in for my son's 1st birthday and am not really looking forward to having them back.

    crap.

I think I'll work this weekend.

The latest official track just released has shifted far to the left, which brings Louisiana into play.

It can hit me in Meridian. I don't mind. I could use two Monday's off in a row. (I'm just volunteering my town because everyone else wants Katrina to go away. You know, out of the kindness of my heart.)

Y'all know that if this thing doesnt take the turn north, this could be "THE STORM"

You know the one that will come up the mouth of the Mississippi and total swamps New Orleans.

The only good thing is that it seems to be off balance, meaning all of the BAD weather seems to be on the eastern side. So BR should be alright.
