Word is that he's taking five more visits and he's not 100 set on Bama. Could it be possible that Coach O may have given him reason to re consider. Maybe he saw we had 3 RBs go over 100 vs Mizzou. What are y'all thoughts. Not to mention Akers is considering LSU....
I'd say very long shot for both. I'd be ok if we didn't take another back and picked up another LB, DL or OL in that order.
Recruiting RBs has never been a problem at LSU. plus it's a position where true freshmen can contribute immediately. Yes we're going to need a couple RBs soon, but I'm very confident we'll find them, less confident of our recruiting at DL and especially LB.
Cam Akers looks like an Ole Miss kid, but he likes what LSU is doing. He'd be a big get after his decommit from Bama.
I think the uncertainty of the coaching staff is going to run off some of the big fish we're still after. Akers would be tremendous but it seems like we're battling for 2nd place in that race. But who knows, crazy things happen in recruiting.
Yeah I think it's gonna hurt LSU for at least 1 season, but it had to be done. You never hold onto a coach because of recruits that may decommit, I think we all knew we would lose some, but as you said, crazy things happen, we may pick up a few that weren't even on the radar.
