Per Dandy Don: Below is a list of national titles that LSU has won, which is the most in the SEC. The Tigers have already won three national titles this year and have a great chance at winning the title in outdoor track and field (both men and women) and a great chance of winning the national title in baseball. ldskule: LSU's National Titles (43) Men's Basketball 1 (1935) Boxing 1 (1949) Football 2 (1958, 2003) Men's Indoor Track 2 (2001-04) Men's Golf 4 (1940-42-47-55) Men's Outdoor Track 4 (1933-89-90-2002) Baseball 5 (1991-93-96-97-2000) Women's Indoor Track 11 (1987-89-91-93-94-95-96-97-2002-03-04) Women's Outdoor Track 12 (1987-88-89-90-91-92-93-94-95-96-97-2000-03) Simply freakin' awesome. Take that, Bama! You too, KY! ~~~~~~~ALL HAIL THE TIGERS !!!!!!~~~~~~~ :lsug: ~~~~#1 IN OUR HEARTS AND ON THE FIELD !!!!!!!~~~~ :lsug:
Not being picky, but the individual championships only add up to 42, not 43, unless I can't count. In which case, please disregard.
Women's Outdoor Track should total 13. I copied Dandy without running the numbers. I should have known that there would have been some bean counters in the mix!!! Regardless, that's an AWFUL LOT TO BE PROUD OF!!!! :geaux:
Without researching it yet I would say either UCLA or Stanford, because they are strong in both mens and (especially) womens sports...
OK you asked for it - YOU GOT IT: Total NCAA championships (through Fall 2003) 1. UCLA: 90 2. Stanford: 87 3. Southern California: 82 4. Oklahoma State: 44 5. Arkansas: 39 6. LSU: 38 7. Texas: 36 8. Michigan: 31 9. North Carolina: 30 10. Penn State: 29 Men's 1. Southern California: 72 2. UCLA: 67 3. Stanford: 57 4. Oklahoma State: 44 5. Arkansas: 39 6. Michigan: 30 7. Yale: 25 8. Indiana: 22 9. Plus you can add three more to our total - which puts us past PigU !!!! They left off our hoops champs because it was mythical, and since boxing is no longer around as a sport they dropped that one too... For you folks that need a reference here's the link: http://www.ncaa.org/champadmin/champs_listing1.html
Yeah, you don't get too many warm nights up there... ...its usually 10-15 degrees warmer at my place... ...and its still 73 outside my house now... ...freaky March weather, I tell ya... I go up to SF (45 min. away) probably 2-3 times a month for dinner, concerts, sightseeing (the BEST place in the world to people watch) and I ALWAYS bring a jacket. Layers baby. You in town for a convention, Saban? Or just a little R&R.. If you're in North Beach ya GOTTA make it by Tosca on Columbus (like you're back in the 30's,) and the new Rogue brewery right up the street... ...20 of their own on tap - & the food is AWESOME... Whatever the case ENJOY! SF is a great town. A little freaky sometimes but still a great place.
