In today's Austin American Statesman newspaper, columnist Kirk Bohls whines about the SEC placing "a ridiculous 9 teams into the 64 team tournament." He asked Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn who responded, "I think we deserved 10." He then wrote "Van Horn is biased. So is Louisiana State Athletics Director Skip Bertman, who serves on the selection committee and has enough pull along with Florida State AD Charlie Carr of the ACC to give the SEC four No. 1 seeds in this weekend's regionals and four more No. 2 seeds."

Help me out here. I thought Skip wasn't on the selection committee this year. I don't know where to find the answer. Anybody know ?

He's wrong... We had five No. 2 seeds... :hihi:

And I agree we deserved 10. And each team proved it today by winning each of our game (I have no doubt that Florida will win).

More often than not, I hate this guy's work, and I'd like to take a shot at him for this crap. Pretty shoddy work for a big paper ace columnist and he needs to be called on it. I'll keep looking for a list of the selection committee members.

i've heard it said hundreds of times this year that he was no longer part of the committee. However, I have no proof its correct though I'd bet your left testicle on it.

Find one of the articles from the last 2 weeks talking about Skip and the number of teams that he thought would make it. I believe it says Skip is not on the committee. Also, one of them named the committee.
