The inability to understand context and argument isn't something I should explain.

I've never agreed with the safety aspect. There's nothing to justify that. IE: When the NFL made it's comments on concussions and kickoffs they had statistics to back up their claims. Right now, there's not with this inclusion under safety (only that it gets it in the committee to make the change in an even numbered year.)

The idea, or suggestion, it doesn't get consideration lacks an basis as to why. Why shouldn't a defense be allowed to substitute? Why should an offense be able to line up on the line of scrimmage, then call the play, and thereby eliminate the ability of a defense to sub?

It's competitive advantage...and there are rules that need implementing to correct that. It's not a "no huddle." It's a huddle at the line of scrimmage.

I've seen numerous suggestions LSU players fake injuries to slow down offense. How should people take those?

Comments like this is why some people lose their case, quickly, in discussions on football issues.

How should people take it? That at times, LSU players fake injuries to slow down the offense. Just like I've seen done a lot against the HUNH last year.

You have an opinion like everyone else, nothing more. My opinion is you will find a way to justify anything your gnome king desires. Im still waiting for the rest of the list.

    And then.

So, should the statement "Chief needs to get his defense in better shape" fit?

Am I the only one seeing the dichotomy here? On one hand we have a proposal to allow defenses to substitute. On the other hand we have defenses faking injuries giving them the ability to substitute. One is done within the rules committee's, the other against what should be described as the spirit of fair play?

It makes the statement "is this what we want football to become" even more resounding.

they talked about substitution proposal to allow the defense time to substitute on every play regardless of tempo... as the rule currently stands, if the offense makes a substitution the defense has a right (by rule) to make a substitution... offenses go no huddle because they like a particular match-up against the d at the time so they won't make a sub because that allows the d to do the same...
