    Good game in Los Angeles, UCLA was leading 4-0 over Mississippi, no hitter going into the 5th, Bulldogs score 5 in that inning to take the lead, then Bottom 7, Bruins down to their last out,.. tie the game 5-5.

    Extra innings, top of 10th, Ol Miss. takes 7-5 lead,.. UCLA, 2 out 2 run hit, ties the game.
    Bruins win 8-7 in 11 innings,.. both team's pitchers went the whole game, UCLA girl threw over 230 pitches.

    That's true. It's equally important to note the dates the article GDF cites--"UCLA won first national title in 1982." LSU didn't start softball until '97, Bama didn't start softball until '97, and Auburn didn't until '98. There's a good 20 year head start the PAC had on the softball record book.

    Yeah I stayed up as long as I could but fell asleep.

    I didn't realize LSU's (and SEC) programs were that young, comparatively speaking.
