Excellent point, that republican messaging is generally louder and full of scare tactics. Comparing Obama to the antichrist and the word socialism. The southern strategy worked. You get all these southern white people who would have been democrats during the time of Lincoln, all wound up and fearing that minorities are taking over. You'll hear phrases like "take our country back". But it works, that's the really sad part.

Try using a smiley when you are joking. :D

Dried apricots work for me. Best tasting fiber around.

Sure, Republicans should use positive messaging like the Dems do when they say "The Republicans don't want Obamacare cus they want you to be sick". and "Republicans don't care if your kids starve, that's why they only support a 4% increase rather than a 4.7% increase". You mean positive messages like that?
Please, positive messages? You can't seriously believe the Jackasses don't also play that game just as well. Unless of course, you happen to believe their bull shit.

Sounds pretty accurate actually. Now do I believe democrats care if my kid starves? No I don't.

It's the great question of my age actually. Who are we better off with? The party who doesn't give a shit about us and doesn't deny it, or the party who acts like they give a shit about us but really doesn't.

I've said it a million times, if republicans would just fold on gay marriage and pot I'd vote for them.

What if they fold on pot but still oppose gay marriage? I thought your wife is female.

What is funny is most Republicans I know have no problem with same sex unions that allow the same rights that spouses are entitled to, but are opposed to redefining the definition / history of marriage of over 2000 years.

I have a transgendered sibling, and she should be able to marry whomever she wants and have the same rights that my wife and I have.

Not sure what you are asking me or if you are answering Bengal B. I was pretty clear with my statement. You could be "married" to a Camaro or a pot plant, but that is not what traditional marriage has been for centuries. Again, not against legal unions and actually support them as I have seen the result of them not being recognized and my great uncle's significant other being pretty much shut out when he died.

You and I have more in common than I thought. I don't think either one of those two things are any of my business. I'm good with gays/lesbian/transgender people smoking pot at their wedding.
