Pokey, no Tournament, now this??? I like where this is pointing -- focusing on what matters -- FOOTBAW
That's not at all what that means. If it did, the 'better' contractors would never stay in business. Even in private developments, most contracts are awarded to the lowest bidder. It's just that state projects advertise to a much, much larger pool than do private projects.
I figured Skip would be mentioned in this thread. So does he now stay on in some capacity for that much longer?
So you mean if 'better' contractors don't take state bids they will go out of business? I'm willing to bet that they have more than enough private work in LA right now to keep them afloat.
Tapped out??? Are you kidding me? The TAF is only given projects by the A.D. that have already been determined to be cash cows, i.e., money makers.
I think the Alex Box money should go to add 50,000 more seats to Tiger Stadium. And i bet we would still need more than 140000 seats come Alabama at Tiger Stadium in 2008. But we do need a new baseball stadium. I remember when i was in high school we made the state playoffs and made it to Baton Rouge and got to play in the Tigers baseball stadium. That was 1977 or 78.
