Right, they need to sell more bricks so that Jim Bernardt can add another wing to Tara. Those freaking bricks...
Some of this biggest and best contractors in the state, like Boh Bros., get state contracts all the time. Plus, nearly every private project that I've ever worked on went to the low bid. Did you miss the sentence right after the end of the quote? Of course, private projects generally bid to a much smaller group than do state jobs, but not always. And to say that all state jobs are poorly done is indeed uninformed. Being low bid on a job doesn't reflect poorly on the contractor. That's quite a silly notion. In fact, you could make a strong case on the contrary. Alas, as the site engineer, I'm obligated to say that all contracors are idiots.:hihi:
That's funny. All the contracors that I work with say all the engineers are idiots. Especially those that seemingly know everything, yet can't spell contractors correctly. :yelwink2: PS Ifn it makes you feel any betta, all of the engineers I work with agree with vous. :thumb:
I had the wrong idea. Maybe khounba was right. I thought we were talking about something completely different.
You guys are right. It's not the contractor that's the idiot because they will just blame the sub-contractors anyway. It's all good.
