The way I read it it says "persons born or naturlaized in the United States" so if that is what you are talking about then yes, I agree. If you mean any swinging Richard can crawl hop skip and jump across the rio grande and expect to be treated with and afforded the same rights as a U.S. Citizen then no I disagree, I strenuously object (to quote Demi). :hihi:
The first part of the amendment defines a citizen. The second part says that rights cannot be denied to a citizen or any other person. So the distinction is between a citizen and a person. Rights reserved to citizens like voting or for us. Rights like due process, and freedom of speech are inalienable rights and are reserved to people.
Anybody else find this amazing. Tea Party protests, which were without incident and more of a rally than a protest, were demonized as violent and hateful.TP members hate America and are racist, etc. These criticisms were from mass media types, and Obama and Admin officials. Basically saying the TP members "have no right to protest when they're protesting me". Relative to this law, I've seen very violent marching, pinatas with AZ gov picture being beaten by a child, objects thrown, shouting, ranting, swastikas made of refried beans, etc. Not a word from media and Obama except criticism of the law. Basically saying "they have every right to be mad and I'm ok with violent protests when it's something I agree with".
id like to see skippy gates have this dude's dna analyzed to see how much euro blood he has in him. (i loved how eva longoria was shocked to find out she was mostly euro. what a pinhead) but like okie said it doesnt matter anyway. $hit happens.
To what extent, look I don't care what language you or your buddy hop sing want to speak, it doesn't matter and I would never tell anyone they shouldn't/couldn't speak their own language. The problem is if you are going to work in a place where the general public is going to visit you should be able to communicate in english. Example, I was shopping in the PX (the base walmart for you non military folk) and this woman comes on the PA and made an annoucement. I stopped my cart in the middle of the store, found a stool to stand on and asked if ANYONE, ANYONE in the store understood what that lady just said. She could have said there was a bomb in the ladies underwear department or they were giving out free money at customer service and not a single patron would freaking know. I'm sure her little kimshi eating self is married to some GI who couldn't find a round eye to hitch up with and she surely has the right to employment, but it should not involve a PA system. She needs to adapt, I do not need to learn Hangul.
Ok, so for anyone who doesn't like the Arizona law. What is your answer to this problem? I think the status quo is unacceptable, an American, a rancher has already been killed and then you have all the illegals crossing everyday some of them receive money and services and go back across the border at night. The borders are getting more dangerous everyday!
