NEW BCS MODEL SUCKS

    This so-called "piggyback" model adds a fifth game to the current 4 BCS bowls and then #1 and #2 would play the following week at whichever bowl hosts the National Championship that year. So, once every 4 years a current BCS bowl would host 2 games with one decidiing the NC.

    However, they are letting The Rose Bowl keep the big 10/ pac 10 match up where the others would have to incur taking on a non bcs team in other years while the Rose will reap all the benefits. This means the Sugar having to allow for the Boise States of the world in while the Rose Bowl will not.

    I sure hope that this doesn't pass as its crap and the other bowl committees would be wise to disallow this.

    Amen. Could college football kindly get past the "granddaddy of all bowls" garbage concerning the Rose Bowl?

    It's tie-in to the Big 10 and Pac 10 simply make it impossible for it to really be the premier bowl of all time. I wish the pandering to the RB would subside.

    The Rose Bowl is anything but grand, the PAC10 tie in assures that. This is not about quality bowl games this is about media markets, PAC10 West coast(esp LA) and Big 10 NorthEast. Any bowl with a PAC10 tie-in is a joke but it gets a lot of TV's turned on. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: The PAC10 suckfest WILL continue!!!! :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:

    I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Rose covering 2 of the top 3 markets and its own major network. its about the quality of the football that you get to view similar to ND on NBC every damn week. How bad is that....

    Anything the NCAA does for college football sucks..

    Rose Bowl/Pac 10 Lovefest

    All of you previous posters have it right--the Pac 10 (really the PAC 1 + 9 wusses) only exists because there is no real competition our here. When you have the only game in town and nobody really gives a damn anyway, you're number one. Of course there is no number two or three, so what.

    The word "defense" is a foreign term in the PAC 10.

    VIVA THE SEC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALWAYS THE BEST CONFERENCE COMPETITION YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT!
