You may see a very different vote next week. If OSU goes in and destroys OU, then they will get a big boost in 2nd place votes. Harris will have them higher, I am sure. If they are a strong three at the end of next weekend I think they will have the boost in CPU rating to jump Bama.
People are assuming OSU beats OU handily, I don't get it, I don't see this happening. I am not saying OSU isn't going to win but I'd be surprised if OU doesn't give them a run for their money.
We are hoping, not assuming. It's a longshot now, but if OKST wins and VT loses I think the computers and a fourth of the voters will be just enough to do the right thing.
The Pokes are a 3 point favorite and they're playing in Stillwater. Pretty much a toss up according to Vegas.
Actually, it won't be. We are not in a situation where if we don't meet and both teams win their bowls that the AP jumps Bama over LSU. USC sat ahead of us in the AP in 2003 and the AP simply kept USC at #1. We would be a unanimous #1 should we win our bowl against whomever. Why? Because we already beat Bama. If we meet Bama and lose to them in the BCSNCG, I assume Bama would win the AP poll, but there are enough writers coming out against this that I am not 100% convinced yet. Obviously, bama would get the BCS title.
