1. What it means is that the Sugar Bowls first pick would be us as an at large. and then Boise as the only other at large left.
  2. No one has mentioned it but if Boise finishes in the top 12 and ahead of the ACC(or any other BCS)conference champ in the BCS rankings, they must be allowed to play in one of the BCS games. The ACC is crap this year and I would be surprised to see Boise ahead of whoever wins the ACC but it's a possibility.
  3. The ACC winner would be in the orange bowl most likely. I dont think more than one ACC team goes to a BCS game unless a miracle happens that one of them for some reason wins out.
  4. lets just end this and pray for boise to lose
  5. Believe it or not the Sugar Bowl and New Orleans makes a much bigger killing if we DONT play there. Simply because most of us come the day of the game and leave the next day. Other schools many times make several days of it. Sure most of us stay in new orleans because we will be to intoxicated to drive home to BR, BUT its usually one night only and often we only spend the day before the next day we leave.
So although great, the Sugar Bowl would prefer a great traveling team like us but not down the street.
  6. Does the sugar bowl profit off of hotel sales and bourbon street alcohol sales? I would think the sugar bowl profits more from merchandise sales (t-shirts, etc). With almost an entire state of LSU fans I think it would be easier to sell merchandise to us.
  7. Exactly! And after watching us getting screwed at Auburn...That's what worries me about Saturday's game.:(
  8. just like last year. UGA played WV in a no win situation and i was happy to play Miami (even though they have tanked). id prefer lsu to play Tx, Okla or Neb in the cotton than the smurfs. (what do i care about the $$$)
  9. Also add the fact that we dont have to buy all that much compared to out of state visitors. We also know where the deals are and are not taken by the advertising because we know if it is worth it or not. I remember articles describing this the NC year.
  10. It's just that some teams travel better than others. We travel well, and we travel to the Sugar Bowl VERY well.
