    Director, writer, producer Mike Nichols, husband to Dianne Sawyer. He was also a co-founder of Second City. He directed a few of my favorite movies, The Graduate and Silkwood. He was 83.

    I saw Joe perform @ Red Rocks, approximately 15 years ago. The altitude of the amphitheater is roughly 6,500 feet.
    Joe was cruising comfortably at 75,000 feet.

    i saw joe cocker 2 years ago. somewhere. i forgot. i see a lot of concerts. he was spectacular. powerful stuff. gonna miss this dude. one of a kind.

    I just learned that Joe had been living in SW CO for quite some time. I guess he bought the land and built the house when he was at the top. The same article said he was having financial problems at the time of his death.

    Yep, I think I saw the same tour. He is one of those guys that the song starts and you go "oh yeah, I forgot he sang this" and you do it a lot.
    Was a fantastic show. I wondered if he was banging any of the very scantily clad and very hot back up singers.

    Back in the day before artists were observed and everyone knew what they looked like, people didn't think Joe was a white Brit. He had some major soul.
