I did not know that. The likeness is uncanny.

I am a descendant of Charlemagne. You are a descendant of Charlemagne. Americans (including African Americans) have a virtually 100% chance of being a descendant of Charlemagne.

After her retirement, my mom spent a lot of time working on a family genealogy. I actually have about 15 genealogical paths to Charlemagne. More recently, I have had my DNA tested by National Geographic in their Genographic Project to map the human genome.

Interestingly, by genealogical ethnicity, I am 90% British colonial heritage with the rest being French and Spanish colonial heritage and American Indian. But by DNA genetics, I am 80% Scandinavian with the rest mainly Western Europe (which is to say Holy Roman Empire, which is to say . . . Charlemagne) with a dash of Native American and Sub-Saharan African (just to put a ninja somewhere in that northern European woodpile.

I think he is a direct descendant though.

He did a metal album about Charlemange too, here he talks about it. The dude has the greatest speaking voice of all time.

Not bad but John Facenda was the greatest. James Earl Jones was second.

No way, no one talks like Christopher Lee. I bought the Children of Húrin in audiobook format just to hear Lee read it. It's awesome.

Great voice but too slow and too British. No one could speak like John Facenda. NFL Films searched for his replacement when he died but couldn't find anybody with THE VOICE OF GOD!
