I was going to say the same thing. I can't remember the last time I have heard that name. Good times.

ESPN is ignoring Beckham. I just watched the mooring show and they didn't mention Beckham but instead showed Landry's acrobatic TD receprion.

That is because ESPN sucks. They apparently have their agenda and LSU was not on it yesterday.

Way too early for me to predict how Mett will fare in the league. But damn his pocket awareness has improved much more than I thought possible as well.

I also believe that ODB and Landry are helping their future status an awful lot too.

Rice that year was the worst team I have ever seen in Tiger Stadium. Carson, in his first game, had five catches for 5 touchdowns and over 200 yards of offense. And he came out the next game and caught a sixth TD with the sixth catch of his college career, a NCAA record that still stands.

I sure miss that old Power-I formation. Cholly Mac liked to line up with a full-house backfield and then send one of the backs into motion. Or handoff to Charles Alexander with two backs blocking for him.

Red and I went to LSU at the same time back then...went to the same football games, ate in the same cafeterias and took a similar curriculum back then...but we didn't actually know each other.

I'm sure he was at that game. I sure was.

People all left that game early, but I stayed till the very end. It was one of the greatest games I ever saw. 77-0.

If I recall, it actually rained in Tiger stadium that night too.

Mett hasn't faced a top notch pass rush yet. If he continues to make the same good decisions and throws then, the sky's the limit.
