1. The serious concern I would have is that the field already takes a beating with one game every weekend. If the Saints came in and played there as well then some serious field upkeep improvements would be needed.
  2. I can put up with a years worth of less than pristine field conditions - especially for the Saints (since they place on Sundays) - so that Louisiana's only major sports team can play close to home.

Alot of high school fields hold up under more stress and games than Tiger Stadium would face having both the Saints and Tigers play there. Only 2 games a week and no practices (other field available for that if needed) shouldn't be too much.

My #1 question is would my liver hold up under such a situation. :hihi: :hihi:
  3. My only concern about that would be if Aaron Brooks came in contact with Jamarcus Russell and gave him advice about how to play. That would be my nightmare for LSU football.

  5. Before the Titans, Memphis area people LOVED the Saints, they were the TV team around here. Now since the Titans screwed the city of Memphis, ( for good reason ) Memphians went back to the Saints. BUT people will only follow a loser for so long and Memphians are fickle, they have been edging back towards the TITANS the last year or so. BUT if Benson needed a million or so fans similar to the fans of N.O. he should consider the bluff city, he'd be considered a God for 4 seasons......after that he'd better win...
  6. Re: NFL wants Saints to play close to home

You guys don't get it. New Orleans won't have clean running water for about 45 days and electricity for at least that same amount of time. The Superdome will be unplayable for a good 3-4 months.

I say let them use TS for the entire year or beyond if needed.
  7. The saints have been contractually obligated to stay in New Orleans until after this season, so dont give me this love of Louisiana crap. That man is a texan through and through..
  8. I just thought of this as well. How cool would it be if the Saints get home field advantage in the play-offs. Could you imagine watching NFL playoff games in Tiger Stadium? ESPN would be here constantly... even more media coverage for LSU
  9. Indeed, fans would be split between the Saints & the Dolphins.

Imagine the National Coverage and exposure for all. No doubt, 92,000 would pack the stadium of the vaunted lsu tigers, the house that nick rebuilt. I wouldn't miss that game for the world, and I'm not a Saints fan.
  10. For shame, for shame! Would you really throw piss bottles at a man who brought LSU FB back from oblivion? I don't understand. :dis:
