Yep, this is exactly why I was surprised to see Reliant stadium mentioned as an option. They don't even do it at the Meadowlands. The only time the Jets and Giants play at home on the same day is when they play each other.

I haven't looked at the schedules, but I think Reliant is only feasible if, by some chance, the Saints and Texans aren't set to play home games on the same day. A stretch would be the 1pm and 8pm game.

Feasible or not, I think the Saints playing at TS would be freakin cool! :) Just as long as they don't turn out like the Bears when they played their home games at UI-Champaign a couple years ago.

Don't forget... The SugarBowl might have to be played in Tiger Stadium. LSU will hopefully be in Pasedena though.

I love the saints but if they played in Tiger Stadium LSU would still be the best football team playing in Baton Rouge

Its a year of inspiration... after 9/11, who won the super bowl? the patriots... very "patriotic"... now its louisiana's turn... the tigers, the saints, the hornets... they need to roll and give this state something to cheer about.. i know its only sports, but is there any state in the country that takes football as seriously as we do? i've always said, throw a football into a crowd of girls and the one that catches it will be from louisiana... throw a football into a crowd of louisiana girls and the one that catches it gets lit up by the others...

There was an ESPN poll recently that was as follows:

    Which would you rather see?
    1) A MLB post-season game
    2) A NFL pre-season game

MLB post season game won in a landslide.

However, in the state by state breakdown of votes, one state actually had a solid majority choose NFL pre-season game - Louisiana. Every other state chose post-season baseball.

My only concern would be condition of the field. Pray for dry weather, because a muddy field used twice a weekend will not hold up for a whole football season.

Benson has been sucking off the taxpayer teet for years. The state, more than ever, needs the revenue that the Saints generate. If that SOB takes the Saints out of LA to play this year, we should lock the doors and not let him back in. LSU, Independence Stadium, ULL, somewhere.....but keep the revenue in-state!

PLEASE...PLEASE dont play in this place. I live in Bammerham and Legion Field is one of the nastiest facilities and quite possibly in one of the worst neighborhoods for a large venue sports stadium I have ever seen. ANYWHERE but this place.

Kcuf baseball. I would have voted the same way.

The amount of media coverage on baseball on a certain sports talk radio show taking place between 4:00-6:00 PM drives me to distraction.

Sure, (most) people would choose playoff baseball over preseason football. While I would rather attend a football game, I can see why people voted this way. A better comparison would probably be MLB Spring Training vs NFL Preseason or MLB Post Season vs NFL Playoff. I guarantee that football would crush baseball in those polls.

Espn probably didn't ask the question because they didn't really want the answer.
