I for one would be very upset if the AINTS stole Nick Saban. The love/hate relationship many people have with the aints would only get worse for most of those fans that are also tiger fans. Personally, I'd be even further compelled to support my new favorite NFL team, the Houston Texans.
That New Orleans area is a substantial portion of the state. Also, I lived in Baton Rouge, and I know that many in the city care dearly about the Saints. Most are disappointed with the franchise, but they continually root for them. Also, don't forget the Saints have fanbases in the lower Mississippi region.
Not sure if you are mocking the old aints commercials or not but that sure does make me laugh when I think about them.
Don't worry, no way Saban would work for a loser like Ben$on. :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope: :nope:
this only begs the question, who would replace saban? i mean NO ONE can ever truly replace him, but he's the class of individual that i dont believe would leave LSU with no real successor...high and dry, so to speak. what about willingham?
If Willingham would become our coach, then I hereby change my mind and I would hate the saints!! And please, no stupid racist comments. The guys record was not stellar at either Stanford or Notre Dame, and is surely not a top tier coach.
oddly enough I think I'd like it as well. if he's gonna go somewhere he may as well make the saints a winner. if he does that then he really is god.
A "lot bigger paycheck"???? Are you kidding me? Tight-wad Benson?! Not a chance! Saban already makes more money that some NFL coaches. He's getting NFL-caliber money right there in Baton Rouge. Benson micro-manages things WAY too much to EVER fool yourself into believing that he'll "hand the keys over" to ANYONE but himself.
Have you been reading ANY of the articles on Willingham?!?! They're ALL the same: "Starts off great in a new place, then doesn't make adjustments. By the 2nd season, any school with a coach worth anything has already figured him out (see 3-straight 31-point loses to USC). Look at his track record at Stanford and at ND. He starts off big, but drops like a lead weight. Thanks, but no thanks.
