1. That is actually a tought road for the SEC teams. Looking at that schedule of bowl games, I only see a couple that really should be wins. The rest are tough games that could easily go either way.

    Independence:
    Oklahoma State vs. Alabama
Okie state is tough, that should be a good game.

    Music City:
    Clemson vs. Kentucky
I think Clemson will take KU pretty handily...

    Liberty:
    Houston vs. South Carolina
Cocks should take this one easily...

    Chick-fil-A:
    Georgia vs. Virginia Tech
Georgia can win this but they haven't shown up all season, so right now I would give the edge to Va Tech.

    Outback:
    Tennessee vs. Penn State
    Vols should win.

    Cotton:
    Auburn vs. Nebraska
tough game for AU, but they should have the talent to beat NU

    Capital One:
    Arkansas vs. Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a damn good team, and with Ark. not being able to pass except with their halfbacks, this is going to be a good game...

    Sugar:
    Notre Dame vs. LSU
    uhhh, Geaux Tigers...

    BCS Championship:
    Florida vs. Ohio State
I think the gators are in trouble here but maybe that it just me...
  2. That is a better indicator than simply qualifying for a bowl. :thumb:
What's bad is a lot of times a #4 SEC team plays a #1 or #2 team from another conf. When you factor in the fact that the SEC slots are determined after BCS and it's often not even the #4 team from the SEC but 5thor 6th. I hope we (SEC) have a strong showing!
  3. The South Park caricature of Miles is dead on. Look at how high his hat sits.

  4. The rule worked when there were only 11 games. 6 games = Winning Record

Now that there are 12 games they need to move it up to 7 for a bowl
  5. We talk about the same stuff in Big Ten bowl games, but in actuality, the match ups anymore are pretty close to where teams finish in their respective conferences.
The SEC champ is playing the Big Ten Champ
Ark/Wis both finished 7-1 in conference play
    Au/Nebraska both finished 6-2
    Tn/PSU both finished 5-3
    Ky was 4-4, Clemson 5-3
Okie State was 3-5, Bama 2-6
It looks like the only conference champ you guys play (in your #5 versus #1 scenario) is SoCar vs. Houston
Geo doesn't have VT's record, but they came on strong late... and that should be a even match.

So, for the most part, these match ups are fairly representative of where teams finished in their own conference.... I agree it wasn't always this way.

  6. Someone should put a big red X over Shula. :hihi:
  7. I'll add this too:

  8. That' one of the funniest things I've seen posted!
  9. Thanks for the info, I hadn't even broken it down yet this year and I was basing it on past years. :thumb:
