Have to disagree with you there. I wish Big Ben never got hurt, the running game may have gotten even better. Note: Whoops, origionally quoted the wrong person.
He did! But he said he wants to come back and be a "Sr. leader" on the team, and how important it would be to him. I would like for him to remain at center. It's SUCH an important position. Not only for it's cerebral challenge, but you also have to be a very good athlete. I would prefer: Whitworth LT Livings LG Niswanger C McGill LG Herman Johnson, Paris Hodges or Will Arnold at RT EXTREMELY solid OL--perhaps tops in the SEC again. :geauxtigs :crystal:
Yes, inappropriate, and pretty ridiculous. Our running game struggled in games all year. Not every game, but certainly a lot of them, and it wasn't Ben's fault. Take our bowl game for example, without Ben at center. Broussard and Addai combined had 136 yards. Doesn't sound too horrible, but take away Broussard's 74 yard run. Now what do you have? Broussard and Addai combined for 62 yards, a 2.69 yard average. What was that about our running game taking off after Ben got hurt?
i was under the impression Niswanger was a given to be staying. Hell, I thought it was official already.
Arnold really played well down the stretch. I gotta believe he improves even more and secures a starting spot on the line.
Not much talk about Ryan Miller, but he is listed by LSU as 6' 6" and 305 lbs. He was the #2 rated center in the country last year. Searles has to do a better job with the OL next year. Even if they zone block left... zone block right... with our running backs we should put up 300 yards a game on the ground next year.
Livings struggled at times. But with another year under these guys' belts...wow. Any RB would be quite anxious to grab the rock and run in '05.
