No Charlie Mac Thread?

    When I was in HS in H'burg. I used to listen to LSU football every Sat night on WWL with my Dad. Those were some of Cholly mac's greatest years. I thank him for all the good memories and victories he earned for LSU. He really did make those Saturday nights special for me and my Dad.
    May he rest in peace.

    I don't remember all the "help mac pack" stuff. I think it's a good thing, I would have come unglued if I'd heard that.

    You guys ran him off about the time Johnny Vaught had the heart attack and OM was having a hard time looking for a replacement. I don't think Cholly Mac could have gone to OM (even though I would have loved it) due to the simple fact that money can't buy everything and I KNOW his (and Jerry Stovall's) love for LSU can't be matched.

    My dad isn't Barrett Murphy, but Curtis Varnado, who took over for Barrett in '77 and was at CHS through the '82 season.
