I'm sure I will get neg. rep up the ass for this one, but I think this puts LSU as a severe underdog in this game and they will lose a close one. Moving out of tiger stadium means cutting practice short because of the travel time. No UNT game means no tune up, no determination of who really is the best qb to play... they were all going to play against UNT. I expect something similar to V-Tech in 2k2.. we were supposed to be the opener, but they added another game late and played a tune up the week before. We came out flat in the first half and played well in the second but still lost. LSU is by far the better team, but they will play flat in the first half against a team that suddenly has all of the advantages. The second half will be all LSU, but by then i think it will be too late.
It's not going to happen b/c fat phil would be complaining that they will be no hotels and krispie kreams for him and his team.
Let's see how long USC stays at number 1, when LSU keeps winning game after game on the road.* *note: some blind optimism is needed at this point.
I repeat! Lsu does not NEED to give opponents hotels... It is a common courtesy, but it is not NEEDED
I repeat.. the hotel rooms are part of it, but not the main reason.. there is a emergency medical facility set up on campus. They are afraid that filling the campus with visitors will hamper the treatment of refugees. The thing is, this place will be there for a while...
Guys i know everyone is dissapointed . But i dont care where we play ASU we are going to get after them. I have confidence in Les and the players. All the adversity and all the challenges are going to be tough but hell we are used to winning on the road in the SEC. I do not think this should count as LSU home game in the series and if that is what ASU is doing to LSU shame on them. That is BS and LSU should not agree to that. If by some miracle we lose then we pick ourselves up and get after Tennessee. I dont think that will happen. Sure would have liked this to be in Shreveport if not in Baton Rouge. Alot of LSU fans in Shreveport and LSU fans from all over could have made it. As much as i wanted this game in Baton Rouge i know moving it is the right thing to do. God Please watch out for our football team and keep them safe.
We have some REALLY GREAT FANS on this thread. :dis: Just because we have to play a few of our games on the road does not mean the season is shot, because if this team is a contender and CONTENDERS OVERCOME ADVERSITY. Matter of fact this could be a blessing in disguse, maybe now LSU WILL BE THE MEDIA DARLINGS and not USC or Texas. And if we end up with one lose there isnt anyone out there that can tell me that LSU would not desver a shot to play for the title. Because I dont see anyone this year going undefeated. This season is FAR from lost and to all the people that have said so, WELL I think we have found the BANDWAGON FANS!
You're right, hotels have NOTHING to do with it--that's just the BS they're feeding us. If hotels are an issue, then WHY or HOW can 5,000 visiting fans control the fate of 90,000 locals?!?!
