The president being in town is not going to help speed up anything. He is hear just to show his face. The people who are running things have been here the whole time and will continue to do so.
As much as I disapprove of his policies, it would be nice if he showed up. I could definitely appreciate that.
I am not going to comment on whether a game should or should not be played. But in my opinion, having a President in town would take public safety personnel away from where they are needed most.

Look, I understand the comments about the terrible nature of the current situation and all but making LSU play on the road until November would add nothing positive to the situation. Starting with FEMA on down, the powers that be have, what, a week to decide what and how to handle those currently on campus. Surely, say, our good UL-L friends would offer up the Cajundome to serve as a triage center. They don't have a home game until Sept 17, giving officials an additional week at least to decide what to do. Outsiders say we're obsessed with football, but man people need something to cheer for and take pride in right now, and an LSU team loaded to the gills with talent and playing at home beating the crap out of opponents is exactly what many want...and need, IMO.
