yeah those things are notorious now for going into brackish even fresh water and inhabiting those areas. And sitting in low-level water just waiting and fucking things up. its insane. I may never go in the water again. Although I want to live on it.

I love how the girl screams as if the shark is gnawing on her leg. "it's a shark, it's a shark, it's a big ass shark". Hilarious.

I've caught a black tip shark in semi-brackish water over an oyster bed (a very small one). I've never seen one back in the bayous.

A few weeks ago my son and I were fishing Biloxi Back Bay off my uncle's pier. We were catching flounder and trout (singular, not plural that day). I usually put out a "meat hook" where I take a croaker that he caught and hook him to a weight and throw him out there on a big Penn 330 GTI with a big hook and 60 lb test just to see what I get. Usually it's a big nasty black drum or a big red. This time I heard my big reel go off. I thew my trout rod down and set the hook on my big rod. It jumped out of the water and thrashed around. Whatever it was almost completely out of the water. The line was severed. It got away. I don't know WTF it was, but I know that it was a)Really fucking big and b) it had sharp teeth.

My dad bought that old ass Alligator Bar when I was growing up and I used to fish on the locks over there at spanish lake. Used to catch huge alligator gar and choupique and lots of prehistoric looking things without even really trying.

Does Spanish Lake even still exist? Weren't developers shutting off the water that went to it?
