BuckTown, we never really know who the geniuses really are but I have a feeling that the most important things a great head coach can do it pick the right players and the right Coordinators. Everytime I see a post that knocks a head coach because of his assistants being great I laugh because I think that is one of the signs of being a great head coach.

You are right about how interesting it will be to see how Bill B does and how good the 2 DC's do in the future. Especially Bill B. as the Pats have kept this team together and producing big time for a long run by NFL standards, especailly with the new free agent rules.

I think Leinert can still declare for the draft, so maybe this issue isn't dead after all!

No, I want Leinert there when we beat them next year. That , of course, assumes USC makes it to the championship game next year !

Chow will soon leave to become a HC or an NFL-Ass. in the next year whether USC fans want to believe it or not and USC will then turn into a good but not GREAT team.

All their talent helps them become quite good but without Chow their offense turns to average

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'll post here - looks like the Titans were waiting for signing day to talk with college coaches and now want to sit down with Chow officially.

Amazing how this all jumps to light the day after the recruits are signed, sealed and delivered.

    Chow on that.

If Chow does move to the NFL, I wonder if the TV broadcasts will constantly break away to shots of him sitting up in the coach's booth, w/ the announcers slobbering all over him and his genius. Man that is getting real old! But it will be interesting to see if Carroll can really coach or is an empty suit.

    FYI.

"The Tennessee Titans are expected to offer their offensive coordinator's job today to USC assistant coach Norm Chow, according to sources close to the situation.

Chow flew to Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday and formally interviews for the position today. He will receive an offer of approximately $1 million per season, sources said. The Titans' offer means Chow must decide if he will leave USC following four successful years as offensive coordinator. It's a difficult decision for Chow because his family relocated to Southern California last year and his two sons attend USC. But Chow has been unhappy recently over a potential change in his job title and uncertainty over his responsibilities."
