From the way Flynn torched UNT's defense, i would say JR needs to work on his reads. Flynn looks fine so i say they split time

Addai should have never stepped on the field, he needs and deserves the rest for the home stretch.

Never said JR or JD should'n't have played.

JR got hurt playing with a 25 pt lead in the third quarter playing behind the 2nd team line, and with 5 foot nothing Carey left to block in the backfield for him. This is what was stupid, not that he was playing, but who was playing around him.

JD gets hurt with the same score in nickel pack. with them lined up handing the ball off with double tight set. We should have never been in Nickel, He should not have been in the game (Steltz was doing just fine, and we were up 25 in 3rd).

Hardly an unreasonable opinion. Were you watching or listening on the radio? If you were just listening, I am sure you wouldn't have known this, and I will grant you forgiveness for calling me stupid. :thumb:

If I was the coach (which im not of course)... I wouldve started JR and Addai, but only for the first quarter... Daniels could have come out after the half...

Flynn, Carey/Vincent, and Joseph would have come in the fill in....

Well, you need Russell to at least play enough to stay in whatever routine he has gotten into over the course of the year. I'd think the first half would be about right though. If he gets hurt then that's just too bad. Injuries are a part of football.

i was listening, but i still feel that JR needed to find some consistency... he is probably a little worried after seeing what Flynn did, hopefully he practices a little harder this week. All is forgiven, we call a truce :thumb:

If 17-21 isn't consistency, what is?

I think JR came out at the right time. I would have like to take him out earlier but the defense was not holding North Texas.

It was 28-3 with them having a chance to make it 28-10. We take over the ball on the 1 yard line after the stop. No time for a new QB and a fumbled snap.

As soon as we score 35-3 Matt came in.

Now if JR was hurting then bring Matt in and let him run the 1st team offense.

I still think JR needs game experience with his reads. Working on looking off receivers. If the main guy is covered he doesnt pick up any other routes other than improvised plays.

I am happy with the way the team played and hope we can heal some starters next week.

88,000 not a bad crowd for a North Texas game.

most points LSU has scored in a while...

I still say we couldve run it up a little more... but who cares, LSU is 6-1 now...
