Four series in the second half with the #1 receivers is what I was saying. That would have him playing much of the second half. With the way opposing teams stack the box aginst us , a fullback that hits like ours does is an important and very much needed asset. In the uo game the safetys were playing so close to the line that they were playing like linebackers. They seemed to be run blitzing most of the game.
NWST will not stack the box vs us. They just don't have the DB's to match up. If they do, it'll be on the goal line. If they stack 8 in the box, it'll be suicidal for their CB's. No way can they handle one-on-one coverage for an extended period of time. And that's NOT disrespect to NWST...they might come away no harm once or twice, but they just don't have the depth to sustain that.
If NWSt doesn't stack the box Saturday night, they are about the dumbest team ever after watching the film of the Oregon game. Force Lee to make plays. That's their only hope. It will be for naught ultimately as our defense will score 5 TDs on their own.
You've got to prepare for what you've seen of your opponent, sure. And most of what LSU showed (which I like by the way) is simple, smash mouth vs Oregon. They can stack the box. It'll be a great opportunity for Lee to correct his mistakes and improve his accuracy...it'll also allow Lonergan to redeem himself when the QB walks up to check/call out hot routes with potential blitz... They'll stack the box until the first big play pass that burns their Demon asses and then back off again.
Not realistic. We don't score that much. We win with defense. 38 or 42-0 would be a thorough ass whipping for LSU.
