My brother had a river house on a pretty isolated stretch of Pamlico Sound. Eastern NC. Remote. There was a “convenience center” near his house. There were designated bins/spots for about everything one could think`of, you know, paper, glass, wood, paint, yard waste, etc. Out front was a BIG sign stating what would not be accepted. Long list, no spaces, but about 2/3s down the list was “Radioactive Waste.” Damn.
