Sure the "best" teams may not be in the Final Four - if you're basing that "best" off of how they did during the regular season. BUT, the teams in the Final Four played their "best" basketball during the tournament, which makes all the difference in the world. You shouldn't think that just because a team dominated during the regular season, they should be given a free pass to the title game.
Re: NOT THE BEST ? Totally subjective. Based upon what I saw, if Florida played Villanova 20 times, they'd beat them 20 times. LSU lost to UConn by 1. Duke got manhandled by FSU and LSU. Memphis played nobody. You do realize that this is all a set up to get USC named co-champs?
Re: NOT THE BEST ? actually it is the best 4. this is just a lame way people like to validate their opinions. thats the entire point of the trny to find the best team and its decided on the court. any blowhard who claims differently is just that. its the USC media mentality all over again.
Re: NOT THE BEST ? Yeah, just sounds like someone in the Media is upset they can't have a say as to who is crowned the National Champions. I think it is a slap in the face to the fine teams that have made it to the Final Four, and does not look good for his favorite teams that lost to the scubs (as he would put it) :yelwink2:
Re: NOT THE BEST ? I was argueing with my friend the other day about this very same topic. Trying to tell me that the 4 final four teams were not the best teams. He asked me if george mason wins it all do i consider them the best? I said yes. He went nuts as if i was an idiot. If he was trying to argue that george mason wasn't the most talented team I'd agree. But the best team is the team that wins it all. I don't care who you are, if you can't go undefeated in march and april you aren't the best team. Champions know when to give their all, and if you can't then you aren't the best.

Whats funny (not really) is it only seems as if someone has a problem with the way the National Championship is awarded (be it football, basketball,ect) only when LSU is in the picture. I hope this is a just me thing, but if LSU were to win this Final Four it seems some of the media will not respect them as National Champions.
