Yeah I agree, you don’t fire a guy after 1 season and I give the guy credit because I fully expected LSU to just fold up and die after the Troy loss and they didn’t. They beat Auburn, they avenged the UF loss from a year ago at their house. I’m not overlooking that. But let’s also not forget that the SEC was a fucking train wreck this year. We beat the teams that had their coaches fired basically. Arkansas, coach fired, A&M coach fired, Ole Miss coach fired before the season, Tennessee coach fired, Florida coach fired. The Auburn win was really fucking nice though. All in all, Orgeron is getting his chance right now, I don’t see why people are clamoring for him to get a chance. It’s happening, he is getting a chance. What he does with it is unknown. I don’t see it translating into championships, conference or national, but who knows.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it during the game -- Guice surpassed the 3,000 mark for his LSU career. He's at 3,074 yards and in 5th place all time at LSU. It would be so great if he came back for his senior year, but I'm sure he's off to the NFL.
Your football IQ is as bad as your political IQ. We lost because we were playing a very good football team (some here think the opposing team is not there and dont have any athletes and dont have a good head coach and doesn't want to win as much as we do) without a field goal kicker hell not even an extra point kicker. We lost because our OL is young, inexperienced and injured. We lost because we have a tough but average QB. We lost because we jumped offsides on 4th and goal and missed a chip shot FG. There was a reason ND was playing in the Citrus Bowl they are good too they didnt get there by mistake. I do like that you unlike many here understand a coach needs at least 4 years to prove himself. Why? Cant judge a coach until he recruits his own players. Myself I am totally sold on O for the next 3 years unless the wheels come off the wagon and he goes 6-6 or worse the next 2 years. Wont happen though.
