The biggest opponent soon might not be Bama. It might be apathy. 9-3 or 9-4 every season will put a fan base's feet to sleep.
Any other choice would have had issues. There are guys in charge, they picked O, it’s time to move on. If O fails, I can’t see TAF supporting Alleva through the next hire.
First thing is I as opposed to some here know there are other good football teams on the opposite line of scrimmage, some here think we are playing ULL every weekend. Second I played the game and understand what I am seeing. We have an average QB, a young hurt OL, young LB's, a DL that has been injured a good part of the season, we play in the SEC and virtually no field goal kicker and you expect this team to be 12-0 playing or the NC? O did a good job getting us to a New Years day bowl. O needs 4 years to be judged like most all coaches are given. He is 16-6 having to take over last year 4 games into the season without having the luxury of having a true OC yet won 6 of 8 games and a great bowl win. Not sure some of you deserve a championship team some of you are not deserving of that. O and this team needs your backing now not so much when we are winning championships. Recruits read this blog and other LSU blogs. You think they like hearing some of this stupitidy and this not affect their decisions on to sign with us? I am with O for the next 3 years
That’s why Miles was fired (despite FKing). I support the fact that a change was made and I support future changes if prior changes don’t work out.
I hear you on most of those points but at some point you have to stop making excuses and hold people accountable. Reasons and excuses can I can go on forever if you let them.
Will they again have to be concerned about a dickhead university president with shit for brains deciding the state is too poor to hire a proven coach? I'm 57. I remember the days when the Board of Supervisors knew football. McKeithen, Cussamano ( sic) and Dore would have told that dickhead to shut the fuck up and hired the man they wanted.
Expectations. New coach and coordinators, mediocre QB, iffy kicking game, injuries, and on and on. Question isn’t how we got beat, but rather how did we get to a New Years bowl in the first place, If you can’t score a TOUCHDOWN. In 2 downs and you can’t stop a team in 2 minute drill, you are not a championship level team. Oh, and the mythical “DBU” takes a hit, as well. We were pretty good this year and I expect the same next year. Hopefully. Pretty good in SEC West is no first or second, either. Geaux Tigers.
