That was hilarious. The whole rings thing is a lot funnier with Auburn. Ole Miss may just have the last laugh b/c SE has them as a top 8 seed. Time will tell.
Well OM got a #5 national seed. All LSU had to do was win a couple games and they are one of the #8 National Seeds. But Smoke feels the SEC Tourney doesn't mean anything. Well it just got us paired up with Tulane instead of us being teamed against another super regional.
Well, the SEC Tournament meant so much that: * The NCAA announced the 16 Regional sites before the SEC Tournament Championship Game was even started. * LSU went 0-2 and hosts anyway. * UF lost 2 straight to Ole Miss and still hosts and is a National seed. * Tennessee went 2-2 losing a game to #7 seed MSU and still hosts. * Mississippi State WON the damn thing and was NOT allowed to host and was shipped off to Miami as a #2 seed. Boy, now that's a reward. * The sEc actually got NINE teams into the NCAA Tournament which includes one team which didn't even qualify for the SEC Tournament field of 8 teams. Now tell me how much the SEC tournament really means. Matbe Ole Miss can go hang a banner for being a top 8 seed. Man, the Ole Miss accolades just keep coming. ROTFLMFAO!!!
LSU hosting a sub-regional, no matter what their record, is about as much of a surprise as the sun coming up tomorrow, if only because of the money involved. When you're on the bubble for a top 8 seed, it means quite a bit. At least making a halfway decent showing does.
